What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with public sector organizations and U.S. government agencies to resolve complex issues in their GitLab environments
- Troubleshoot customer environments as a hands-on Linux administrator, addressing performance and configuration issues
- Partner with various teams to clarify bug reports and contribute merge requests that resolve customer-impacting issues
- Create and update clear documentation and support content to improve self-service and reduce repeated issues
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely emergency support for customers in restricted environments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government security requirements
- Experience managing customer-facing cases throughout the full support lifecycle
- Strong Linux systems administration knowledge
- Ability to use scripting languages (preferably Ruby or Bash) to investigate and resolve issues
- Practical experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and container-orchestration technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Understanding of common information security and compliance concepts and controls
