- Provide care and support to customers in accordance to care plans

Job summary
Our teams provide individualised care and support for people with learning disabilities, autistic people and people with physical disabilities living in their community. We recognise that each person has unique interests, needs and preferences, and we support customers to be as self-sufficient as possible, working closely with them and their support networks to help them reach their goals.
We are recruiting to replace valued colleagues and expand our teams to be able to support more people. We have vacancies in the following locations;
Some of the roles will require candidates to have a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Main duties of the job
Your role will be to support our customers in their day-to-day lives and could include assistance with personal care, managing medication, meal preparation and shopping, and supporting with emotional and physical wellbeing. Night roles will also include responsibility for the security of the building overnight, as well as cleaning and preparing the service for the next day.
We also provide support with life skills such as improving confidence, managing finances and being part of the local community to maintain important relationships.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Full training will be provided for these roles - this will include a 7-day induction at our Head Office in Wokingham, online learning and shadowing established staff members.

Optalis is a LATCo (Local Authority Trading Company) jointly owned by Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Optalis delivers adult social care on behalf of the two local authorities.
