What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect, validate, and analyze monthly and annual environmental data across client portfolios
- Develop GHG Emissions Inventories in accordance with the GHG Protocol and client Inventory Management Plans
- Monitor ongoing energy and water consumption, providing clients with updates on asset performance
- Respond to data-related inquiries from clients and third-party assurance providers with accuracy and detail
- Stay informed on regulatory developments and industry trends relevant to sustainability and ESG
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a remote-first environment
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge, including functions, formulas, and experience creating Macros
- Hands-on experience calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions according to GHG Protocol
- Demonstrated precision and thoroughness in reviewing and analyzing data, documents, and deliverables
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new systems, tools, and procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- General understanding of commercial property operations, including building energy systems and utilities
- Experience with annual GRESB and CDP disclosures, including familiarity with reporting platform tools
- Knowledge of major ESG disclosure frameworks such as GRI, ISSB, TCFD, and SASB
- Working knowledge of ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize data analysis into reports and presentations
