Establishes and implements long term strategies (5+ years) to maintain a Security organization capable of providing a safe and secure operating environment, including deterring crime and protecting the organization’s property, assets, and people.
Establishes investigatory and inspection capabilities to assess, identify and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps; plans and prepares for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence and other emergency events.
Establishes and maintains strong communication and feedback loops with operational leadership in the resorts to ensure Security standards and processes are being executed consistently with high degrees of customer satisfaction, from both internal and external guests.
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and advisory groups to keep abreast of security trends and emerging threats and ensure high levels of preparedness to respond to emergency situations.
Leads the identification, development socialization and implementation of recognized best practices, policies and procedures across all Security teams within MGMRI properties; ensures all departmental standards are aligned with security industry practices.
Pursues continuous improvement initiatives to Improves entire processes, systems, or services by leveraging past experience and in-depth understanding of best practices.
Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent experience.

Primary Purpose:
The Senior Vice President, Global Security (“SVP Security”) is responsible for leadership and oversight of all activities undertaken by the MGM Resorts International (MGMRI) Corporate Security Department and coordination of the comprehensive security function throughout the enterprise. The mission of MGMRI Corporate Security is to protect the Company’s global interests by ensuring the delivery of the highest quality security related services and activities in an effective and efficient manner. In pursuit of this mission, the SVP Global Security works in partnership with Company stakeholders, the law enforcement community, gaming regulators, and resort partners. The SVP, Global Security has primary responsibility for strategic leadership for the protection of all the organization's property, people and assets, including security operations, investigations, threat assessments, incident management, and Security team training.
