Job Description

- Manage all Server & Storage and VMware infrastructure and Data Backup incidents and escalations from the Service Desk.
- Monitor and respond to enterprise Data Center alerts via APC StruxureWare etc.
- Manage storage allocation, upgrades and optimization standards.
- Provide server and storage capacity forecasts based on usage and trending.
- Provide data backup related services.
- Participate in testing of the required changes, track change control factors and compile test data for service deployments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery procedures, service outage workarounds and system safeguards.
- Participate in the assessment of new equipment, Installation and maintenance of data storage and backup hardware and software.
- Available to work outside of normal business hours in a 24/7 hospital environment and after-hours on-call are required.
- Other duties as required.
- College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
- Active VMware VCP-DCV certification is preferred.
- ITIL certification is required or commitment to complete within six (6) months from date of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years overall IT experience.
- Knowledge with SAN and Blade Chassis Data Center Infrastructure.
- Knowledge with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere.
- Knowledge with Citrix NetScaler etc. load balancing technology.
- Knowledge with Brocade etc. Fibre Switch.
- Knowledge with CommVault Backup Solution.
- Knowledge with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux/Unix.
- Knowledge with Storage Network configuration and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with PowerShell, or any other form of scripting and automation.
- Working knowledge of Citrix XenApp, ServiceNow.
- PIPEDA/PHIPA compliance experience as it relates to network best practices and security as well as managing and complying to PIPEDA/PHIPA network controls.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and written in a professional manner.
- Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Job Description
System Analyst - ICAT Infrastructure
Permanent Full Time
As part of the larger ICAT team, the System Analyst will work under the guidance of the System Administrator and will support various projects and tasks associated with the Hospital’s system infrastructure and processes related to the systems. Functions will include monitoring, trouble shooting and problem resolution for the Hospitals’ client, server and storage devices. The selected candidate will interface with the customer and contractor engineering team daily to complete assigned tasks and provide status on tasking progress and will become familiar with various systems and will serve as a first level of system administration support. The System Analyst will also provide resolutions for tickets submitted using the Service Desk software – ServiceNow and will escalate tickets accordingly to the System Administrators as necessary to meet resolution deadlines.
