      Systems Administrator - Jr/Mid-level

      Location: Springfield, VA

      Primary Responsibilities:
      • Systems Administrator performing system security administration functions; managing customer accounts via Active Directory; troubleshooting and diagnosing and correction of problems; plans, tests, installs, and integrate new and upgraded versions of the relevant operating systems, third party software components, and subsystems; monitors and manages system resources to optimize operating efficiency and performance; custom software installation and maintenance.
      • Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
      • Setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
      • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
      • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software.
      • Coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
      • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
      Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
      • 1-3 years of Networks and Computer Systems Administration experience related to Systems Engineer/IT
      • Experience with VMware/virtual infrastructures
      • Experience with Windows Active Directory, Windows Server administration, monitoring and configuration tools, storage solutions, and cross domain solutions
      • Experience with PowerShell scripting
      • DoD 8570 Certification (Security+, CASP, or CISSP) required within first six months of starting
