- Firmware Upgrades and Cybersecurity awareness
- Working in Linux/Red Hat 9 environments
- Developing security plans for specific networks and managing the auditing of the equipment on those networks
- Maintaining software & hardware compliance to the latest requirements including logging, ant-virus and patching activities
- Liaison between supply chain, facilities, and security to bring in new hardware and software that is compliant to all policies
- The ability to effectively communicate with system end-users, customers, program managers and software developers, as well as possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have an active Secret clearance and the ability/willingness to obtain a TS clearance
- Active CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification
- Experience with being a systems administrator in a Linux/Red Hat environment
- Level 3 - Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience; 3 years of related experience with a Masters or PhD; 9+ years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Working knowledge of Linux (RH9) and basic security concepts
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Containers
- Embedded equipment familiarity is a plus!
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and associated family of documents
- Familiarity with DISA STIGS/Benchmarks and SCAP Compliance Checker
- Working Knowledge and ability to configure Tenable Security Center/Nessus
- Familiarity with Host-Based Security System (HBSS)/Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS)
- Exposure to Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Familiarity with Identity/Authentication management tools and concepts

Join the Advanced Programs team in a software research and development engineering environment as a Systems Administrator managing a lab of hardware and software. Your job would be to ensure effective management of the IT infrastructure while maintaining compliance with security policies and regulations. This role is an on-site position and does not offer a remote option. If not local, relocation assistance is not available.

Salary Range: $121,400.00 - $182,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
