Job Description
The Casino Training Manager is a dynamic position which will oversee and coordinate all aspects training and can influence the operation on the casino floor. This leader will assist in many areas of the operation and work with casino leadership. This leader will ensure that all games are dealt with a high degree of accuracy and integrity while also providing an excellent guest experience. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations and ordinances as well as department and company policies, practices and procedures, within the framework and intent of SAHARA Las Vegas
Job Focus
· Safeguards company assets with the casino division, specifically with Table Games, and with Slot Operations at the direction of Casino Operations Senior Leadership
· Management, and oversight, of the gaming operation
· Team members directly reporting to this manager will be Table Games Operations team members within the Supervisor and Dealer classifications
· Enforces rules and regulations of the casino, established by SAHARA Las Vegas and the Nevada Gaming Control Board
· Will be a key contributor to the monthly and annual budgeting process over all casino operations departments (to potentially include Table Games, Slots and Poker)
· Has the ability to approve credit with prescribed limits
· Attends to any guest dispute which arises within the Table Games department which cannot be resolved by another member of the Table Games team
· Directs the assignment(s) of team member classifications which report up to this leader
· Schedule will primarily be during day and swing shift hours, but can also include grave hours as the business/schedules dictate to facilitate training curriculum
· Involved with the hiring and termination practices primarily focused within Table Games, but can also include Slot Operations
· Verifies significant payouts on the Slot Operations floor when necessary, as set forth by property internal control
· Perform other job-related duties as requested.
· Active presence and leadership on the casino floor is an essential element of this role
Desired Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· At least 7 years of progressive casino experiences, with at least 5 of those in a supervisory/management position.
· Fundamental knowledge and an understanding of all table games rules, standards, regulations and operations.
· Ability to work varied hours, to include weekends and holidays as determined by the volume of expected business.
· Possesses a work history that demonstrates resourceful and effective problem solving in ambiguous situations.
· Ability to apply critical thinking skills, can muti-task, acts proactively and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising integrity or effectiveness.
· Must consistently maintain poise and a professional demeanor under challenging and high-pressure situations.
· Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite, including but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
· Ability to effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms.
