      Position Overview

      We are seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Advisor to manage the recruitment of both permanent and contract positions at professional and leadership levels. This role requires a deep understanding of specific client groups to provide strategic recruitment advice and related program support.

      Responsibilities

      • Efficiently recruit and select internal and external candidates.
      • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies, including cost-efficient and timely campaigns.
      • Define job requirements, screen and select resumes, interview and evaluate candidates, conduct references and due diligence, and provide candidate selection and salary recommendations.
      • Develop sourcing strategies and create external networks to proactively search for passive candidates.
      • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client groups.
      • Understand portfolio needs to anticipate and identify proactive talent acquisition solutions.
      • Offer expert advice on recruitment matters, including interview questions, equitable hiring practices, and candidate evaluation.
      • Recommend process improvements and efficiencies.
      • Utilize databases (e.g., Taleo, LinkedIn) for searches and adhere to workflow processes.
      • Maintain current data and metrics for reporting purposes.
      • Provide HR Generalist support to the team.

      Screening Criteria

      • University degree preferably in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Between 3 to 5 years of operational recruitment experience
      • Proven interviewing skills, including experience with behavioural based interviewing techniques
      • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
      • Experience with Taleo or other applicant tracking systems.
      • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
      • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and a demanding workload.
      • Customer service-oriented with highly developed interpersonal skills.

      Assets

      • Bilingual in both official languages (English & French).

      Compensation Details:

      • Talent Acquisition 16: Salaries typically range from $71,063 to $94,751 annually, based on qualifications and experiences.

      Location

      • Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
      • This role may be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa, or from the Community Hub in Toronto.
      • Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
