      Responsible for operational support, including but not limited to requisition creation, offer letter generation, background checks, pre-employment screening, validating work authorization (I-9s), and assigning, and delivering new employee orientation (NEO), as necessary. Will work across the Talent Acquisition team to identify and facilitate process improvements, support coordination of recruitment projects, and achieve operational efficiency and excellence. Serve as point of control and subject matter expert for recruitment systems, hiring, and onboarding process, policies, and procedures.

      Role Responsibilities

      • Manage onboarding activities to include but not limited to requisition creation and tracking, offer letter generation, background checks, pre-employment screening, validating work authorization (I-9s), assigning, and delivering new employee orientation (NEO)
      • Drive operational excellence through the effective use of systems and technology, identifying improvements, and implementing changes, while enforcing controls that mitigate risk and ensure consistency and compliance
      • Responsible for the operational support for recruiters and candidates, ensuring a remarkable applicant and new hire experience
      • Serve as single point of contact for candidate questions
      • Maintain candidate files, including maintenance of internal databases to ensure comprehensive data collection and record retention
      • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to understand process and systems gaps, providing solutions and/ or resolution
      • Analyze data to identify areas for process improvement, while ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and proper interpretation
      • Aid in the documentation of SOPs, business insights, processes, and services to ensure efficiency and compliance
      • Assist with Talent Acquisition department self-audits
      • Support Talent Acquisition projects
      • Maintain weekly tracking reports and provide analysis and insight into trends
      • Reduce risk and protect the company’s reputation and brand image by maintaining detailed knowledge of federal, state, and local statutes that apply to the recruitment and selection function, and by conducting audits of recruiting practices
      • Co-Manage Background Work Authorization vendor relationship and background guidelines
      • Help support temporary hiring staffing needs

      Role Requirements

      Education

      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

      Experience

      • Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, preferably Talent Acquisition

      Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

      • Demonstrated understanding of recruiting operating procedures and practices, guidelines, HR technology, and tools
      • Process improvement and project experience
      • Knowledge in the Talent Acquisition space with an understanding of processes, systems, technology, and sourcing platforms
      • Workday knowledge
      • Advanced multi-tasking ability
      • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with individuals or groups and give presentations utilizing various audio/visual support aids
      • Strong problem-solving, conceptual, analytical, and influencing skills
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, change priorities, and handle confidential and sensitive material and issues
      • Familiarity with relevant employment laws
      • Ability to support department-level projects/initiatives exercising sound judgment and collaboration with all stakeholders
      • Strong computer skills and technical aptitude, including MS Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

      Pay Equity

      Velera is committed to pay equity and a competitive benefits package. The hiring amount for this position based on relevant experience and internal equity; the pay range is:

      $54,000.00

      to

      $68,800.00

      *Note: The amount shown is based on full time annual salary and would be prorated based on role.

      In addition this position is eligible for an incentive plan, based on performance.
