      Position Summary

      Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Talent Development Consultant who will play a crucial role in advancing our organization's talent, learning, and performance capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive programs, systems, and partnerships to enhance the development and succession planning of talent within the organization.

      Key Responsibilities:

      1. Facilitation and Presentation:
        • Proficient in both virtual and in-person facilitation. Capable of delivering engaging content, moderating discussions, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
      2. Organizational Development:
        • Specialization in leader coaching, team integration, and assessing team dynamics.
        • Acts as a strategic advisor and consultant for site leadership, providing valuable insights through active listening, intake calls, and making informed recommendations.
      3. Course Development/Instructional Design:
        • Contributes to the development and management of a leadership program, including cohort-based learning experiences.

      Responsibilities

      Essential Functions

      • Advises on best practices and all aspects of talent development, team member effectiveness, and improvement of the existing organizational climate.
      • Supports the development and implementation of improved talent development and performance capabilities through change management, organizational design, and development and training to achieve organizational objectives.
      • Provides ongoing consulting services to assist management in monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating performance strategies.
      • Works with managers to identify talent development processes that can be enhanced through the use of technology-based solutions. Articulates the value of talent development and performance management technology.
      • Facilitates workshops, interviews, or meetings to develop and coach talent, improve performance, develop leaders, and deliver positive business value through better management of the workforce.
      • Counsels and influences leaders on the career development of team members, including working on career path plans, ladders, and competencies.
      • Partners across the organization to enhance a healthy team member lifecycle, focusing on orientation, onboarding, engagement, and succession.
      • Partners with HR and operations on preparation for succession, talent profiles and knowledge transfer.
      • Develops, coaches and mentors leaders in the organization; engages with and develops high potentials, emerging and fast tracked leaders.
      • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
      • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

      Other Related Functions

      • Understands and articulates the value of integrated talent development processes.
      • Understands enterprise software, particularly HRIS, and other talent development technologies (e.g., recruiting, performance management, learning management, succession management).
      • Exhibits strong writing skills, including the ability to synthesize information into clear and concise messages.
      • Demonstrates effective verbal communication, including the ability to relate well with others and adapt style as needed.
      • Works independently, collaborates across disciplines, thinks creatively, manages own time effectively, and takes initiative to drive projects.
      • Manages and enhances relationships.
      • Maintains confidentiality.
      • Demonstrates knowledge of change management on both personal and organizational levels.

      Qualifications

      Education/Training

      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) preferred, with the ability to fluently speak and write in both languages.

      Experience

      • One (1) year of progressively responsible human resources, learning, talent development, or related experience is required.
      • Demonstrated ability to coach or mentor others.
      • Intermediate to advanced use of learning and performance management systems.
