What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze tax forms and related laws to ensure software compliance
- Design client interfaces for tax product applications
- Anticipate and assess the impact of regulatory developments on tax products
- Write and communicate design specifications for software engineers
- Test software products and assist the Customer Success team during peak season
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of recent individual income tax preparation and/or review experience
- Extensive knowledge of individual tax law
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Experience with partnership and/or S Corporation tax preparation
- Familiarity with electronic filing of tax returns
- Background in tax planning and client advisory
- Experience with state, city, and local income tax preparation
