What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and review the work of five employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff
- Oversee fiscal transactions related to cannabis and spirit tax and fee revenue
- Analyze revenue data and provide timely financial reports
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and enhance workflows
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree including 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting
- Four years of relevant professional experience in financial, fiscal, accounting, or auditing roles
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and governmental accounting standards
- Strong understanding of financial record-keeping functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 at an intermediate level
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience supervising employees in fiscal record-keeping
- Familiarity with electronic payment systems
- Knowledge of Lean Principles for process improvement
- Experience with the Spirit Fee System and Dynamics GP System for Cannabis
- Understanding of Washington State's Revised Code (RCW) and Administrative Codes (WAC)
