What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead or participate in advanced projects related to air permitting rules, policy, and permits
- Advise management and staff on technical matters and program functions
- Provide expertise and participate in legislative support activities
- Communicate federal and state requirements related to division processes and programs
- Prepare and deliver presentations at hearings and meetings

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical science, environmental science, or related field
- Four years of full-time experience in environmental permitting or control activities
- Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination may substitute for six months of experience
- Two years of full-time experience at TCEQ as an Environmental Permit Specialist III
- Must pass criminal history records search and driving history check

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in specified fields from an accredited college or university
- One year of full-time experience at TCEQ as an Environmental Permit Specialist IV
