Job Summary/Basic Function
This is a Ten month 8/1 - 5/31 position. Serve as a Master Teacher to teach young children enrolled in the Preschool Program at the MTSU Child Development Center, a teaching laboratory for the Early Childhood Education program. Serve as a model and mentor for MTSU students enrolled in ECE 4380, Infant Toddler Practicum, and other applicable courses. Perform related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, special education, or closely related field required.
Required Related Experience
Four (4) years classroom experience with young children (Birth through 3rd grade) in a school setting (K-3 or Higher Ed; public or private), Head Start or licensed child care setting.
Desirable Related Experience
M.Ed. or equivalent. Masters in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Teaching certificate preferred.
