      Job Summary:

      As a Team Lead in our dynamic organization, you'll spearhead the daily operations of your assigned team, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of assembly, logistics, or quality tasks related to Caterpillar diesel engines. Reporting to Section Managers, you will play a pivotal role in meeting customer and company demands in the Schertz, TX facility.

      What you will do:

      • Lead and train Production Technicians, ensuring their proficiency

      • Address and report issues to Section Manager, engineers, and maintenance

      • Versatility to fill any team position and accomplish various tasks

      • Ensure quality by inspecting parts and materials during the assembly process

      • Collaborate with other departments for problem-solving and process improvement

      • Efficiently handle material delivery and removal

      • Contribute to Continuous Improvement by submitting and resolving C.P.S. cards

      • Adhere to standard operating procedures and area-specific instructions

      • Provide process-related information to supervisors and managers

      • Demonstrate technical competence in the entire Supply Chain area

      • Execute daily work assignments directed by the Section Manager

      • Facilitate employee training for processes and certifications

      • Maintain effective communication within the team and across departments

      • Perform other assigned duties

      What you will have:

      • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

      • Basic understanding of Heller and Toyota Machining Centers Controls and Applications

      • Familiarity with GD&T, ability to read Tooling and Part prints, and understanding of Standard Work process

      • Proficiency in Plex menus: control panel, check sheets, inventory search, rejection logs (CCN, CAR, etc.)

      • Experience with Cl Card and SBT process, including rework and out-of-process inventory management

      • Ability to handle departmental delegation during issue resolution

      • Clean record: no attendance, quality, or performance infractions in the prior 6-month period

      • Flexibility in shift and/or value stream assignments

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

      • Initiative and willingness to speak up

      • 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing

      • 1-2 years of experience in Machining Operations and/or Quality

      What would make you a top candidate:

      • In-depth knowledge of Heller and Toyota Machining Centers Controls and Applications

      • Knowledge of various tools with the ability to change and set tooling in machines

      • Certification on every operation for the value stream

      • Technical experience in manufacturing process/value stream

      • Conduct standard work audits for the value stream

      Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

      • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

      • Ability to perform repetitive operations

      • Ability to lift to 35 lbs.

      What you will get:

      • $20/hour starting payrate

      • Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, o vertime as needed
