Job Description
• Namibian citizenship.
• Grade 12 and tertiary qualification: LLB degree.
• 5 years’ experience in a legal environment.
• Must be detail and quality orientated.
• Computer literacy and good numeric skills are essential.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• High energy levels and team player.
• Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative;
• Excellent verbal and written communicator with a passion for customer service and relationship building; and
• Able to manage a team to achieve agreed financial and service targets.
Job Specification
•Manage OMSIC’s liability motor, third-party approach and other Liability claims under various sections of insurance policies.
•Oversee OMSIC’s third-party recovery process.
•Manage and track claims services, including quality control, communication and delivery effectively.
•Identify, manage and minimise operational risks and claims leakage.
•Identify ways in which to reduce claims cost and improve service levels.
•Prepare periodic reports and presentations on claims and projects progress, indicating actual progress against agreed outcomes.
•Analyse claims data, including queries and complaints, to identify trends and propose solutions to management.
•Ensure compliance of claims/operation system and procedures.
•Provide legal and technical advice to the OMSIC Claims Team.
•Provide legal advice to stakeholders on an ad hoc basis.Skills
