      As a Team Lead for Terminal Operations you will be responsible for managing day to day business activities in operations while ensuring all deliverables are met in a safe and efficient manner

      Your Responsibilities:

      • Supervise teams of terminal employees in their daily activities including prioritization of work assignments and directing staff
      • Supervise unloading of vessels and product movement according to established procedures (Marine Terminal) or the blending and movement of product according to established procedures (Asphalt Terminal)
      • Implement and communicate operating procedures aligned with corporate and industry.
      • Implement and track orientation and training of terminal employees and drivers.
      • Provide continuous coaching and feedback and engage in employee retention and satisfaction initiatives.
      • Adhere to established policies and procedures; ensure compliance with same; recommend improvements and changes as needed.
      • Provide recommendations to the Terminal Manager and Human Resources in the areas of interviewing, hiring, job performance and discipline.
      • Participate in and lead all Safety initiatives, collaborate with Environment, Health & Safety and Process Safety Management to ensure the plant is operated safely, and ensure environmental and safety compliance.
      • Assist with injury and incident reporting, investigation, and resolution. Promote personal and environmental safety and achieve established goals.
      • Support Business Performance, continuous outlook to improvement and support functions to meet and exceed key performance indicator metrics.
      • Monitor budget expenses and assist in ensuring best possible outcomes for spending bot CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and OPEX (Operational Expenditure)
      • Maintain and process Work Orders, order and maintain supplies and inventory for the terminal
      • Function as the Maintenance lead and support EAM (Equipment/Asset Management) requirements
      • Align internal and external resources for terminal operations (e.g., delivery and shipping of blending components and finished product)
      • Support external customers such as carriers and drivers by addressing concerns, promptly resolving issues, and maintaining commitments.
      • Support internal customers by fostering relationships, collaborating with Supply, Trucking, Sales, Refinery PLA and advising management as appropriate.
      • Manage contractor relationships and maintain contractor files.

      Your Experience:

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Completion of all levels of terminal operations training (or equivalent experience depending on the terminal space)
      • Marine Terminal - 5 years of experience in marine terminal operations, logistics, or scheduling
