Experience of problem solving using technology-based solutions and coding languages including Web UI & Middleware applications, SQL procedures/functions, Azure Data Factory, SSIS packages, Power BI reports, web and background services
Experience working within Financial Services
Dundee located as your team will need support from you on a daily basis.

You will be joining us in Insurance, Pensions & investments in Embark for our technology teams which drive the technology solutions and enables the business to maintain the highest levels of service to our clients whilst fully adhering to all regulatory standards and requirements. You will be the Dundee Technology School Lead/Coach with overall responsibility of the learning curriculum and delivering internal training, development of the school to support broader Group needs and ultimately the success of the school as a centre of excellence for developing technology capabilities. You will need strong leadership and people skills as you lead the Junior Developers as they complete training and start to deliver new greenfield developments as well as supporting existing applications and interfaces with third parties.Job Description

HOURS: Full-time – 12 Month FTC
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About this opportunity
Do you have a passion for people, technology and problem solving? We are seeking to recruit a talented leader with experience in technology to take a combined Team Coach, & Lead Developer role for our new technology training program, The Dundee Technology School. This is a 12-month secondment/Fixed Term Contract role where you will help shape the programme's curriculum as well as working across the Group to grow and develop the programme into a leading capability provider across the Group.
You will also lead the first intake of 10-15 entry-level Developers as they complete their 32-week training, providing coaching, guidance & technical support. The Junior Developers will be learning coding languages such as HTML, CSS and learning about UI & UX, skills that you should already have experience of.

You should be familiar with working in agile based environments and delivering in a sprint-based delivery approach. You will have a passion for understanding our customers’ needs and creating repeatable innovative technology-based solutions. You will be working cross functionally to work with SMEs, Business Analysts and Solution Architects to understand requirements and technical design.
