Job Description

- Lead, manage and support the Technical Assistants, Data Quality Coordinator, Management Information Lead and Bordereaux Technicians (where applicable)
- Identify training and development needs; assist with training, mentoring and coaching
- Responsible for tracking, monitoring and controlling the workload within the team, including working in an agile way to deliver successful outcomes
- Actively manage output of the team through team meetings and 1-2-1’s to ensure deadlines/targets are being met and problem solve any issues
- Ensures that Talbot Operations procedures are created, completed and maintained as necessary, e.g. in accordance with applicable deadlines from Compliance for annual reviews
- Build relationships with other departments within Talbot
- Act as an escalation point for their team and wider business
- System “super user” for our core underwriting systems and understand current and future system functionality, ensuring knowledge maintained up to date at all times
- Responsible for building and maintaining close working relationships with our customers
- Review the current processes, for the areas you are responsible for, to make improvements
- Knowledge of underwriting processes and operations
- Have a commercial mindset in relation to insurance
- Detailed experience in the insurance industry, specifically underwriting, with experienced knowledge of the Lloyds market, its regulatory requirements and the impact this may have on a proposed solution or business change.
- Experience within a relevant operational role
- Previous management skills, including:

Syndicate 2019 reinsures premium written by AIG’s Private Client Group, covering Homeowners, Auto, General Specie and other products.
