- Actively engages in assigned Protocol Delivery Team (PDT) led by TDM's for developing National Protocols
- Applies marketplace knowledge to facilitate Local Technical Team (LTT)in the development of Regional Protocols
- Applies recommendations from statistician on trial design to meet protocol objectives & align with field testing capabilities
- Uses internal and external networks to identify & secure testing sites that meet protocol criteria
- Applies scientific skills to efficiently & accurately collect, analyze, summarize and interpret data, plus influence product positioning
- Works cooperatively with academics & other key influencers on seed, trait & systems field trials
- Learn & apply all regulatory & stewardship requirements in field testing program, & coach others while ensuring our FTO
- Collaborates with Functional Compliance Lead (FCL) on both internal and external Confined Field Trial (CFT) audits
- Adheres to company Trait Stewardship requirements as necessary in field testing & training programs, and drives awareness with internal &external stakeholders
- Participate in Product Performance Inquiry Processes & assist when required (e.g. CRW GTED / IRM)
- Assist seed FSR's and TA's with Tech Support for seed, trait and on seed chemistry PPI's when requested
- Actively engage on Protocol Delivery Team led by TDM's & serve as regional marketplace representative
- Collaborate with internal field testing functions to test, deliver, position and support our product pipeline
- Identifies new Market Opportunities, and facilitates the development of Tailored Solutions for our customers
- Partners with sales & agronomy to facilitate demonstrations, and dealer and customer training when requested
- Facilitates & Presents Regional Research results to technical managers, agronomy and sales teams
- Facilitates regional marketplace positioning of new seed, traits, and on seed crop protection products
- Facilitates discussions with sales, TDM's, agronomy & KT to create and deploy educational content on Bayer products & tailored solutions for customers
- Participates in efforts to coordinate, calendarize and build content for internal training events designed to increase competence & confidence Interface with external key influencers on BCS products, recommendations and local needs
- Learns, applies and complies with all safety standards and requirements & coaches others
- Effectively forecasts / orders seed & crop protection products for successful execution of field research program
- Collaborate/coordinate with ARM in planting, spraying, maintaining, and harvesting field trials
- Effectively manages DOT compliance, trailer inspections as required
- Initiates and manages the execution and maintenance of land & warehouse contracts
- Hire and train temp personnel (TDFA)
- Serve as the bridge between R&D and US Commercial business through: local field testing, evaluation, product positioning, and tailored solutions development
- Facilitating collaboration with key internal stakeholders (Agronomy, NAFTO, & Climate) and external cooperators (academics & consultants) to drive technology adoption
- Increasing awareness & gaining public trust through 3rd party testing relationships
- Technical expertise & support of regional U.S. Commercial business units
- Facilitating Networking at universities to identify new talent
- Proactive utilization of research results from Professional Society journals to influence the business
- Follow all safety and compliance (regulatory & DOT) guidelines to maintain our freedom to operate (FTO) as a company
- Function independently or collaboratively as needed to plan, coordinate, and execute on field research trials
- Facilitate the delivery of critical field research data necessary to make product advancement, selection, and commercialization decisions within Bayer Crop Science
- Collaborate accordingly to organize and summarize data where appropriate to enhance local technical knowledge to grow the sales business
- Product development, characterization, stewardship and development of integrated solutions recommendations for the local geography
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related discipline. Degree must be completed by start date;
- Strong understanding of Bayer germplasm, traits, and basic understanding of crop protection in the assigned geography;
- Makes recommendations on agronomic components & systems;
- Technical & sales support (local influence);
- Obtain and maintain a pesticide applicator certification in the state(s) within the territory;
- Proficient in operating & maintaining large equipment & GPS/GISsystems.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related discipline with minimum of 7 years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development or R&D related roles, or M.S.(5 years) or Ph.D. (2 years) in Agriculture or related discipline.

Technical Development Representative II - Eastern Iowa/Northeast Missouri territory
PURPOSE
Utilize their expertise in applied field research and agronomic science to provide technical leadership to a select geography. Provide knowledge transfer, demonstration, and education of the product and system recommendations to the Agronomy and sales organization. This role will support the Eastern Iowa/Northeast Missouri territory

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $87,413.67 - $131,120.51/yr. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
