- Tech Lead 18 : Salaries typically range from $94,664 to $126,218 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
- Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change).
- This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard or Laval.

- Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
- Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.
- Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
- Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
- Administer and Maintain VMware Environments : Manage and maintain VMware environments, including VSphere, vSAN, and related technologies.
- Performance and Quality Standards : Establish and uphold performance and quality standards for the infrastructure, encompassing monitoring, patch management, performance, and availability.
- Upgrade and Security Management : Oversee critical upgrades and security hardening processes to ensure minimal downtime and maximum security.
- Capability and Service Enhancement : Implement, enhance, and automate new capabilities and services to meet evolving business needs.
- Industry Trends and Advancements : Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, particularly in hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Platform Reliability and Security : Ensure the platform consistently meets high standards of reliability, performance, and security.
- Risk and Vulnerability Management : Identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities within the infrastructure.
- Cloud Integration: Experience with hybrid cloud environments, VMware Cloud Foundation on VxRail, and multicloud strategies.
- University degree or college diploma in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum Five (5) years of experience in VMware Data Centre Virtualization administration and support, with experience in VMware vSphere ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in server operating system administration and support, with experience in Windows Server and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Infrastructure automation (AI-based predictive analytics and automated lifecycle management).
- One (1) or more years of experience in Infrastructure Automation
- Desired Technologies: ADO Repos, ADO Pipelines, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform.
- One (1) or more years of experience in Enterprise Storage administration and support, with experience in NAS and/or SAN (iSCSI/FC) technologies
- Desired Technologies: Dell PowerScale (Isilon), Dell PowerStore, CommVault.
- One (1) or more years of experience in cloud services
- Desired Technologies: Azure.
- Experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), with experience in (CIS, NIST, or ISO) auditing and compliance attestation.
- Experience in ITSM, with experience in Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement.
- Desired certifications: VMware (VCP-DCV/VCAP-DCV), HashiCorp Terraform, Red Hat Ansible, Microsoft Azure (AZ-900), ITIL v4 Foundations, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in ITSM, with experience in Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement.
- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English).
