      Job Summary

      The Technical Marketing Specialist is a support role to the Sales- Solutions and Services lead. Cross functional knowledge and relationships within the organization are crucial for this position to bridge gaps and flesh out system level capabilities as responses to client proposal and eventual contract requirements. Position requires ability to bridge customer requirements and technical specifications in crafting overall solution with clear customer value proposition.


      Primary Responsibilities:


      • Support proposal technical writing and marketing responses to client requirements.
      • Seek out via design documents and marketing requirements how the system is actually functioning vs. forward looking statements of new features in proposals.
      • Interact with all engineering, system engineering, marketing, quality, software, finance, legal and program management areas of company to grasp total end to end system capability of features and performance. Report and inform others of these findings to help facilitate proposal responses, go to market strategy, risk reviews, and contractual commitments.
      • Act as primary technical sales point person for product marketing and critical analysis of solution components.


      Education and Experience:


      • Education: Bachelors of Engineering
      • Experience: To succeed in this role, a minimum of 10 years experience in the Product Marketing, Design Engineering, and/or Technical Sales roles of a technology company is important. The more cross-functional the experience base, the more capable the Technical Marketig Specialist will be to grasp the situation and make recommendations for moving forward in the best interests of the company and respective clients.


      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


      • Well versed in Engineering, Manufacturing, and technical sales/marketing methodology and terminology and topics, with strongest emphasis on design vs. business trade offs and ability to describe or explain complicated technologies and systems from a user perspective.
      • Broad based market knowledge from supplier to user of the technology / product.
      • Strong problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking skills
      • Ability to communicate among technology, business, and customer
      • Self starter with minimal need for oversight and supervision

      Pay is in the range of $108,923 - $ 144,788 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
