      Who we are

      About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

      About the team

Stripe is one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world, and we're scaling in every dimension: users, revenue, people, technology, processes, and more.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Release Manager or Technical Program Manager to join our team. Release Manager is responsible for a smooth and error-free rollout of new versions of Stripe software (available via API, SDK, Dashboard, other surfaces) that provide updated functionality to our users. A successful candidate is accountable for cohesive release of these changes, which requires them to partner with various teams including API services, SDK teams, product developers, and a host of other stakeholders. This role is ideally suited for a Release Manager or Technical Program Manager (TPM) who possesses keen attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.

      What you’ll do

      Key Responsibilities

      • Coordinate across several teams (engineering, product, Go-to-market, docs, design etc.) and domains to finalize, bundle, and release software change
      • Work intimately with API services and SDK teams to release new API versions and corresponding SDK versions for each supported language.
      • Ensure the safe rollout to affected client applications like Dashboard and CLI.
      • Coordinate with the documentation team to update product documents & integration guides, API references, migration guides, and changelogs.
      • Work closely with the product development department responsible for the given release to communicate changes effectively to existing and prospective users

      Additional Responsibilities

      • Evaluate and define tools and processes for release management
      • Coordinate end to end testing and manage test cases
      • Define and update the versioning and release management strategy
      • Coordinate migration of users to the latest versions of the APIs/SDK/CLI/Dashboard and deprecation of older versions

      Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

      Minimum requirements

      • Proven experience in Release Coordination or a similar role in technical program management.
      • Familiarity with API services, SDK versions and software development.
      • Exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills.
      • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
      • Solid understanding of product/software development life cycle.
      • Proficient in release management tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins, JIRA).

      Preferred qualifications

      • Previous industry experience managing software releases
  • About the company

Stripe, Inc. is an Irish-American financial services and software as a service company dual-headquartered in San Francisco, United States and Dublin, Ireland.
