      Responsibilities

      The Pest Control Technical Specialist leverages extensive technical expertise to resolve complex pest and rodent issues through a comprehensive Pest Management Program. This role involves conducting QA audits, writing and executing corrective action plans, and continuously evaluating and enhancing pest control techniques across all company branches. The Specialist also develops and implements training programs, provides hands-on field training, and supports the ongoing development of service personnel to ensure consistent achievement of branch performance metrics and exceptional customer service.

      You will…

      • Delivers hands-on, field-based training for service technicians, field supervisors, and service managers to enhance technical skills and service delivery.
      • Coaches service personnel in real-world settings to assess and strengthen their performance and customer interaction abilities.
      • Conducts monthly QA visits and Technician ride-along to monitor field safety practices, perform vehicle inspections, and review proper pesticide application and usage protocols.
      • Evaluates administrative processes such as customer service, curbside calling, handheld device usage, and MentorTSP to promote best practices and improve sales and marketing techniques.
      • Participates in at least two branch technician meetings each month to support team development and alignment.
      • Partners with branch managers to deliver technical training and execute safety and compliance audits at the branch level.
      • Assists in monitoring and supporting performance on top-tier customer accounts.
      • Drives technician safety initiatives focused on improving behaviors, reducing incidents, and achieving safety performance goals.
      • Engages directly with high-profile or at-risk customers to strengthen relationships, retain business, and enhance public relations.
      • Investigates and evaluates customer complaints as part of a proactive quality assurance program, identifying root causes and recommending improvements.
      • Manages customer communications to effectively resolve service-related issues and build trust.
      • Analyzes service trends, emerging pest concerns, and reports on the effectiveness of current service protocols.
      • Conduct pre-audits and QA inspections of third-party audited commercial accounts to ensure compliance and readiness.
      • Performs quality control audits of service work to maintain high operational standards.
      • Designs and delivers ongoing technical training, including new hire orientation, continuing education, and branch-specific instruction.
      • Promotes a culture of safety by identifying risks, encouraging compliance, and implementing corrective actions to address hazardous conditions.

      Qualifications

      Minimum Requirements:

      • High School Diploma or equivalent required
      • Valid driver’s license required
      • Ability to work in the field independently
      • Some weekend and holiday work required

      Preferred Skills:

      • Strong understanding of pest management regulations and industry-standard safety protocols
      • BCE or ACE certification

      • Proficient in the use, application, and maintenance of pest control equipment and field-use chemicals
      • Thorough knowledge of proper selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
      • Effective in coaching and guiding team members to achieve performance goals
      • Experienced in fostering teamwork, encouraging collaboration, and resolving workplace conflicts
      • Skilled in identifying pest activity, harborage areas, and potential entry points
      • Capable of obtaining and maintaining all necessary licenses and certifications as required by regulatory authorities
      • Competent in the operation of motor vehicles for field-related tasks
      • Proficient in the operation, supervision, and basic repair of pest control tools and equipment
      • Experienced in developing and delivering technical training content for field staff
      • Adept at composing professional written communication, including reports and customer correspondence
      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

      Physical Demands / Working Environment:

      • We will consider for employment all qualified applicants in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws
      • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
      • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
      • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc.
      • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
      • Work Location: Remote – must live close to major airport
