What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical application support to users on civil engineering software for various projects including roadway and site design
- Teach engineers and designers how to effectively use civil engineering tools to achieve project goals
- Act as a consultant to engineering firms and government entities on software implementation
- Produce training materials and multimedia resources for user education
- Serve as the primary liaison between the employer and users, addressing application questions and issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent training and experience
- 1-5 years of experience in road, rail, and site design
- Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills
- Prior experience with software such as OpenRoads Designer, InRoads, GEOPAK, MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil3D
- Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Professional Engineer license
- Experience in teaching or training others in software applications
- Familiarity with project management and consulting practices
- Previous work experience in a technical support role for engineering software
- Ability to produce high-quality training materials
