What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage access control requests and conduct access reviews in compliance with physical security standards
- Maintain knowledge of the Splunk SIEM platform to support user access reviews
- Oversee the Fingerprint-Based Background Check (FPBBC) process and ensure compliance with training requirements
- Manage user access, server rack assignments, and key control for data centers according to best practices
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors to enhance the physical security program
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A minimum of 6 years of related post-secondary education, technical certifications, or technology-related work experience
- Strong attention to detail in managing complex access control systems and inventory tracking
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, FERPA, and PCI DSS, and their application to access controls
- Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and audit documentation
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with IT, security, and compliance teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with physical access systems (e.g., Honeywell) and security information management (e.g., Splunk)
- Demonstrated success in working within high-security environments and managing access to sensitive information
- Public service mindset with an understanding of the importance of secure physical environments for government services
