- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
- Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content.
- Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success
- Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements

- Work up to 40 hours per month and strategize with your manager how that time is divided across projects
- 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, with a portfolio of previous work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into simple, easy-to-understand documentation.
- Strong understanding of authoring tools and frameworks such as Paligo, Google Docs, XML, HTML, Markdown, etc.
- Experience with documentation translation.
- Familiarity with software development, programming languages, robotics, and/or API documentation.
- Experience working in an Agile or Scrum development environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

As a Contract Technical Writer at RightHand Robotics, you will be responsible for producing clear and concise technical documentation that includes user manuals, API documentation, release notes, and more. Your role will involve collaborating with subject matter experts and other team members to gather information and transform complex technical concepts into accessible and user-friendly content. You will also be responsible for managing the translation of documentation into several languages.
