      Job Title: Technical Writer / Compliance Analyst

      Job Description

      As a Technical Writer / Compliance Analyst, you will apply your expertise and strategic focus to conduct complex operational analyses and lead medium to large project teams that support informed decision-making within the business unit. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving findings to be presented to senior management, conducting statistical analyses, and coordinating with other business units regarding initiatives. Additionally, you will direct, mentor, and coach lower-level analysts.

      Responsibilities

      • Develop or modify internal North American Electric Reliability Corporation’s (NERC) procedures for Operations and Planning as assigned.
      • Update and submit personnel changes to the Compliance and Excellence Team’s Roles and Responsibility matrix for all NEET operating companies.
      • Support the migration of procedures to NEET’s new Document Management platform.
      • Create and modify Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets to result in quality audit-ready documents.
      • Conduct Sustainability Assessments, evidence review, and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts as assigned.
      • Perform other duties as assigned, such as MIDAS reporting and supporting Order 881 Ambient Adjusted Ratings implementation readiness.

      Essential Skills

      • 3+ years of experience in NERC operations and planning or utility compliance.
      • 3+ years of experience building and executing a NERC O&P compliance program.
      • Specific knowledge of 693 Operations and Planning NERC standards.
      • Familiarity with compliance software tools and platforms.
      • Proficiency in project management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree preferred with 8 or more years of related experience.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Experience with a NERC regional entity or a regional transmission organization is a plus.
      • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

      Work Environment

      This role is based in the Lone Star Transmission’s Mesa Oaks office in Texas and is open to locations in Pensacola, FL, Dallas, TX, and other areas as specified. The position is hybrid, requiring three days in-office and two days remote. The office is located in Austin, TX. The position is part of the Contingent Workforce Program, which may include worker furloughs coinciding with select national holidays.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $49.00 - $59.00/hr.
