      LinQuest is seeking a Technical Writer to provide support to the Command Data Office of Air Education and Training Command (AETC) located in San Antonio, TX. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance are required.

      As a Technical Writer with LinQuest, you will provide support to the Command Data Office and the Studies and Analysis Squadron of Air Education and Training Command (AETC) located in San Antonio, TX. The organization’s mission is to train and educate both USAF Airmen and USSF Guardians to satisfy Service priorities for the Department of the Air Force. This is an in-person, part-time, temporary role.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Produce documentation and briefings related to the entire data cycle, from generation to use in analysis products
      • Edit and revise existing documentation related to Data Governance, Data Management, and related disciplines
      • Compile, integrate, and submit project status update documents
      • Ensure that all necessary information has been included allowing readers to quickly understand the purpose, performance, and utility of the capabilities provided to our customers
      • Translate technical communications for a non-technical audience
      • Work in a team setting with both on-site and remote team members via teleconferencing and collaborative environments

      Required Skills and Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, or a related discipline
      • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical role
      • Technical familiarity with one or more cloud-based data environments
      • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of products, primarily Word and PowerPoint

      Desired Skills and Experience:

      • Experience with cloud storage and computing services
      • Strong communications skills
      • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into concise, well-informed written products
      • Experience writing for a non-technical audience is strongly preferred.
