- To support the Lead Nurse/Midwives and Nurse/Midwife Practitioners to carry out their roles and responsibilities, ensuring that standards are maintained.
- To oversee the work of all staff in the clinical team to deliver a high professional standard of client care in accordance with NMC/GMC Guidelines, delegating where appropriate.
- To ensure an adequate and appropriate level of clinical staffing is maintained within the Hub.
- To support the Treatment Unit Managers to ensure effective working practices and relationships across all teams within the Telemedical Service.
- Own the onboarding process for new clinical staff, including recruitment, induction and clinical competency sign-off.
- To direct, undertake and participate in clinical audits, and to respond to audit recommendations in accordance with agreed timescales.
- Support clinical and managerial staff in developing and delivering effective action plans derived from the findings of audit and incidents
- To record, report and provide Senior Clinical oversight of all incidents and initiating appropriate investigation and corrective actions.
- To promote and support the development of a continuous improvement culture, sharing good practice, communicating lessons learnt and celebrating achievements.

- Experience of working at or above the level of a Lead Nurse/Midwife (or equivalent Agenda for change Band 7)
- Practical experience of providing abortion and sexual health services
- Experience of carrying out audit and monitoring standards of care
- Experience of undertaking infection control audit
- Knowledge of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, especially abortion care
- Knowledge and understanding of clinical governance and risk management
- Highly developed with negotiating and influencing skills to manage difficult/stressful situations and conversations
- Ability to assimilate, analyse and present complex problems and data, identify necessary action, make recommendations, and ensure actions are followed up

At our Leamington telemedicine hub, we are looking for a Telemedical Senior Lead Nurse or Midwife who is passionate about women's health and dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients.
You will manage the team of Telemed Lead Nurse or Midwives, ensuring delivery of exceptional care while maintaining resources effectively, and adhering to regulatory requirements. The principal areas of responsibility across the service will be clinical audit, risk and incident management, and ensuring a competent clinical workforce.
This role is permanent, working 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Saturday. This role is primarily hub based, with some hybrid/home working once trained.
About You
You will be a Registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or Midwife (practising), with a strong background in women's health. You should possess excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team. Your clinical expertise in abortion and sexual health services will enable you to lead by example and drive continuous improvement in our telemedical services.
