What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach online courses in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering, tailored to your expertise
- Develop and enrich undergraduate and graduate programs through innovative course design
- Maintain an active research profile and secure funding for research initiatives
- Mentor students to support their academic and professional growth
- Participate in university service and contribute to the academic community
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a closely related engineering or science discipline
- Ability to teach existing courses related to your discipline
- Strong publication record and potential to secure research funding
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to mentoring students and contributing to university service
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in machine design, robotics, and cloud-based engineering
- College-level teaching experience, especially in an online environment
- Research experience in educational pedagogy
- Background working with active military personnel and veterans
- Experience with ABET accreditation processes
