What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach graduate and undergraduate project management courses with a strong business focus
- Develop, maintain, and assess courses related to the Embry-Riddle Aviation Project Management Framework (AVPM)
- Update curricula as necessary to ensure relevance and effectiveness
- Provide service to the department, college, university, and profession while staying current in the field
- Participate in limited travel for meetings and conferences as required
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate from an accredited institution is required
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and strong research potential through publications or working papers
- Experience teaching web-based courses and engaging with diverse student groups in a remote setting
- Strong written and communication skills
- Willingness to travel as necessary for the position (approximately 5-10%)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Aviation industry experience managing various types of aviation projects
- Participation in university committees or related community organizations
- Experience in course design and development for online delivery
- Familiarity with online learning management systems
- A clearly defined teaching philosophy
