      What You’ll Do

      As the Territory Manager, you will have the opportunity to drive sales, margin, and overall customer relationships with the accounts in the regions market! You will also be responsible for penetrating into new accounts and determining potential in new geographic markets.

      Key Relationships : You will report directly to the Sales Manager, Prairies at our Winnipeg facility.

      Location: Ideally, you will be based out of the Winnipeg area.

      At a high-level, you will have the opportunity to:

      • Pursue new “good business” while protecting our existing business. Pursue business that benefits short- and long-term the financial results of the branch.
      • Achieve sales targets that are in line with the financial and customer targets of the branch.
      • Ensure Metrie penetrates a territory where it can profitably achieve dominant market share through customer intimacy.
      • Effectively represent Metrie’s interests when dealing with customers, the community, employees and suppliers.
      • Track and issue product proposals ensuring compliance with company sales procedures.
      • Field customer calls and filters product related calls to appropriate managers.
      • Act as a liaison between operations functions and customers to manage delivery expectations.
      • Follow through on sales orders and inquiries.
      • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to keep management and customers up to date on shipping schedules.

      Who You Are

      You are an ideal candidate if you:

      • Demonstrated sales experience
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
      • Strong utilization and understanding of spreadsheets
      • Strong written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
      • Proactive and Self-starter
      • You have a “Can Do” attitude and approach

      It would be an added bonus if you have:

      • Prior CRM Tool training/use
      • Understanding of the building industry and construction practices
