The salary for this position starts at $22.38 hourly. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.
1. Job Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides support and direction through the recruiting process by assisting with recruiting projects and acting as a recruiting liaison to supervisors and applicants. The incumbent assists with posting job openings, submits background and reference checks, assists with offer letters and reports on recruiting activities. This position will also assist in an overall support of the recruiting function for the association.
2. Essential Functions:
· Post job openings, communicate respectfully with applicants, submit background and reference checks, create offer letters and process applications for positions in assigned product area.
· Review and approve or reject requisitions and HR Actions in the talent acquisition system.
· Serve as a key point of contact between hiring supervisors, candidates and the organization throughout the recruiting process.
· Respond to the recruit email box and reply to service tickets within 24-48 hours escalating any issues to the Recruiting Specialist or Talent Acquisition Manager as needed.
· Prepare job postings, post positions on job boards, and coordinate all job advertisements.
· Post job opportunities and updates on social media sites (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter) to create more visibility for the YMCA and our career opportunities.
· Act as subject matter expert in talent acquisition system. Maintain recruitment metrics. Prepare periodic status reports concerning job openings, etc.
· Analyze data for compliance and continuous process improvement and recommend process improvements.
· Assist with projects in the areas of recruitment.
3. Relationships:
This position reports to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor/Manager who reports to the Talent Acquisition Director. The incumbent interacts regularly with hiring managers and supervisors as well as job applicants/candidates and plays an active role in Human Resource department meetings.
4. Qualifications:
Required
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting a HR/recruiting function or in an administrative support role.
· Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically (verbally and in writing) with team members at all levels of the organization and represent the YMCA in a professional manner.
· Ability to properly handle and manage confidential data.
· Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and other MS Office products.
· Strong analytical & problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritize and systematize own work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment using time management skills to prioritize volumes.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
· Ability to manage projects and plan events.
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various groups to achieve a desired end result.
· Demonstrated ability to work cross culturally.
Preferred
· Bachelor’s degree
· Recruiting experience
· Experience working in a nonprofit
· Multilingual
· Experience working with HRIS systems – such as Kronos Workforce Ready
6. Work Conditions:
· Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
· Ability to travel locally to participate in recruiting events and meetings at branch and camp locations.
