- The CLS THAAD Team Lead will maintain overall accountability of both the AN/TPY-2 Radar System and the CLS team assigned to support.
- The CLS THAAD Team Lead will be responsible for the professional development and performance assessment of the CLS Team members assigned to the THAAD Radar.
- The CLS THAAD Team Lead will review all ALCS program data to ensure that all data has been entered accurately to include ITR’s, calibration records, PMCS, and other areas as required and contains sufficient information for failure review board evaluations.
- The THAAD Team Lead will schedule and plan for installation of change notices interfacing as needed with engineering and site personnel to ensure success.
- The THAAD Team Lead will maintain all PMCS schedules and ensure all tasks are completed and documented properly and will ensure that all JO’s/ITR’s are updated.
- The THAAD Team Lead will evaluate the adequacy and technical content of the Technical Manuals, Operating Instructions Procedures and Work Packages and suggest modifications as appropriate using LIR process.
- The THAAD Team lead will monitor radar diagnostics for any radar system anomalies (e.g., Receiver/Exciter (REX), Beam Steering Generator (BSG) BSG, Antenna/Sub-Array/ TRIMMs).
- The THAAD Team Lead will be responsible for reporting statuses, briefing and reports on equipment and personnel performance as scheduled and required by Field Engineering and CLS Program Management and provide recommendations to Raytheon Program Manager for improvements.

- Active SECRET Security Clearance.
- At least five years’ experience in the troubleshooting and operational checkout of TPY-2 systems.
- Experience completing root cause analysis and fault isolation and localization of radar malfunctions.
- Experience restoring systems to mission capability by performing corrective action procedures.
- Advanced TPY-2 Hardware maintenance and fielding experience.
- Experience in the planning, production, and management of complex systems.
- Experience in leading a team including members from engineering, operations, integrated supply chain, and/or quality.
- International assignment experience.
- Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
- Typically requires B.S. in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.

Job Summary:Radar Systems Field Engineering will be staffing a THAAD Team Lead in support of the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Program. The CLS Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system Team Lead will be directly responsible for the accountability, training, and professional development of a team of 4-5 Field Engineers, assigned to support the CLS Program and US Army, whose focus is ensuring that the TPY-2 Radar System is always fully functional. The position will serve as both a Field Manager and technician responsible for maintenance planning and maintenance execution of the Radar.
This position will remain in an unaccompanied deployable status. The selected candidate must understand that they are willing and able to travel for related work assignments to include deployment to work locations at various sites both nationally and internationally, sometimes at a moment’s notice.
This position will be located at either Ft Bliss, Texas and may require deployment to an offsite or foreign location with an immediate response time. If assigned to a deploying asset, the selected candidate must meet all required medical expectations as defined by the customer prior to and after deployment to assignment and ensure their assigned team maintains a deployment readiness mindset as well.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
