      MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

      To lead and direct the Operating Theatre Unit optimisation through process analysis and re-engineering. Facilitating process enhancement and change in terms of business strategies ensuring maximum revenue, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

      1. Manage the operational efficiencies of the Operating Theatre Unit
      2. Manage and mitigate operational risks within the Operating Theatre Unit for all theatre users
      3. Ensure alignment of Operating Theatre operations with the strategic objectives of the hospital
      4. Ensure compliance with regulatory-; external as well as internal auditing bodies
      5. Manage key stakeholder relations

      REQUIRED EDUCATION

      ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

      Degree or Diploma

      DESIRED EDUCATION

      Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Management or related field,

      Degree/Diploma in Nursing

      REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

      ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

      • 4 to 8 years related experience

      DESIRED EXPERIENCE

      • Proven experience in operational or business management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
      • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
      • Excellent stakeholder management skills
      • At least 2-4 years experience leading a team

      • Healthcare industry knowledge
      • Ethical and surgical product knowledge
      • Pharmacy stock management
      • Asset management
      • Computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
      • Stakeholder engagement and management
      • Strategy development
      • Quality Planning, Improvement and Assurance methodology
