- Assist the Business in key policy adherence and monitoring.
- Keep Management aware of the risk and control environment of the Business through continuous and open communication, buy preparing and host Business Risk Committee meetings with Senior Management to present and follow-up on issues, concerns and corrective action plans.
- Update and maintain a robust Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) in compliance with the Citi Operational Risk Policy.
- Ensure that the Business has a sound control environment from an information security perspective, including adherence to relevant policies where appropriate.
- Serve as main point of contact for audit groups and ensure that all audit requests are timely and appropriately provided.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- 10+ years' experience in Operational Risk Management, Audit, Compliance or other control function
- Familiarity with Third Party Risk Management and Project Management
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
We are seeking a strategic and experienced professional to join our team as a senior, Third-Party Risk Manager and Pune Site Lead for Markets Operational Risk. This dual-role position requires a senior risk officer who will help drive the oversight and enhancement of third-party risk management within the Markets business, while also serving as the as Operational Risk site lead for our new location in Pune.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to Citi's Third-Party Management Policy and Standards, supporting the effective implementation of the Manager Control Assessment, and driving continuous engagement with business and control partners. A key aspect of the role will be setting up and supporting a more dynamic change program across third-party risk activities - enhancing agility, strengthening risk mitigation, and improving alignment with evolving business priorities. As the Pune Site Lead, the role includes staff management responsibilities and coordination of internal control initiatives and audit responses.
The role is pivotal in supporting a robust control environment and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability in risk management, requiring deep expertise, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills.
