What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide intrusion and incident monitoring and detection using customer-provided data sources and tools
- Document and report potential security incidents and timelines of events
- Coordinate urgent security events requiring response, containment, and remediation
- Analyze various security enforcement technologies and provide recommendations for best practices
- Conduct knowledge transfers and train clients in threat mitigation strategies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of three years of full-time professional experience in the Information Security field
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Managed Security Service (MSS)
- Strong time management, reporting, and communication skills, including customer interaction
- Proficiency in data analysis using SIEM, database tools, and Excel
- Experience troubleshooting security devices and familiarity with SIEM platforms
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with web-based exploit kits and Advanced Persistent Threats
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as QRadar, LogRhythm, or Splunk
- Understanding of vulnerability assessment tools and exploitation frameworks
- Knowledge of common false positives and tuning suggestions for security devices
