      Job Title: Settlement Specialist

      Responsibilities

      • Ensure the timely creation of commercial invoices for export-related shipments.
      • Manage and maintain the back-office process for settling all Thru-put and export-related activities.
      • Coordinate with facilities, merchandisers, and accounting to ensure proper settlement within contract specifications.
      • Manage inbound and outbound trucks, rail, barge, and containers.
      • Coordinate documentary instructions.
      • Work directly with merchandisers and customers to ensure proper and timely settlement of grain shipments and receipts.
      • Continuously review business and system processes, identifying and implementing improvements.
      • Ensure complete contracted documents are obtained for every shipment.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Essential Skills

      • Grain experience is required.
      • Experience in invoicing, settlements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
      • Proficiency in the creation of commercial invoices.
      • Ability to handle tough conversations with grain traders.
      • Experience working with farmers and trucking companies.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with high volume grain and freight ticket processing.
      • No degree required, but 2 years of relevant experience is needed.
      • Software experience with Grainworks is preferred; training will be provided.
      • An associate's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

      Work Environment

      This position is based in Omaha, NE, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Our company culture is laid-back, with monthly luncheons, a well-stocked break room, and team events. We offer flexibility to work remotely when planned, although the position is primarily in-office.       The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
