      What will you do

      The Trade Compliance Analyst - Export will be an outstanding professional with sound intellectual ability and proven experience in coordinating the efficient and economical movement of goods across international borders in compliance with relevant customs laws and processes, complying with U.S. and EU export controls and sanctions. You'll be part of the Global Trade Compliance team supporting and executing the export licenses and agreements of international activities following company policies and customer requirements with mentorship from manager or team members.

      How you will do it

      • Review Exports and Imports in accordance with Johnson Controls policy and U.S. Government export regulations and laws.
      • Participates in the investigation of any aspect of proposed export or temporary export by the Company to verify the legality of any transactions and the accuracy of the information to be submitted.
      • Participates in the development and presentation of export related training materials.
      • Provides Johnson Controls Trade Compliance with any required assistance or information needed during the review of a license application.
      • Maintains export related record keeping functions for the Company as required by regulations.
      • Participates in conducting internal compliance audits on a periodic basis.
      • Maintains export licensing records to tracking export licensing history. When requested, prepares and distributes periodic reports on licensing status for use by Company personnel.
      • Position to include air travel to various export conferences and required training.
      • Review and disposition export holds in the GTM system.

      What we look for

      • Bachelor’s degree (logistics, engineering, tax, business economics) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 Years suggested minimum experience.
      • Knowledge of the current Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
      • Must be detail-oriented, have good writing skills, and have good organization/interpersonal skills.

      Preferred

      • CUSECO or CES certification
      • 5 years of experience in a multinational environment (MNC, big 4 consultancy firm, law firm, government, etc.)
