What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide compliance guidance and support while mitigating risks and costs related to Imports, including product classification and country of origin determination
- Maintain accuracy and completeness of product-related import data across all systems
- Perform audits and assess internal procedures to maintain compliance with the CTPAT Trade Compliance program
- Monitor and report on global security initiatives for the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program
- Initiate reconciliation of entry discrepancies and prepare/submit necessary protests
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, International Business, or related field highly preferred
- Customs broker license
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with customs house broker and/or importer
- Strong working knowledge of HTSUS, CFRs, CBP directives, and bulletins
- Proficiency in utilizing spreadsheets to analyze large data sets

- Experience with both customs house broker and importer roles
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of the entire import process from point of origin to post-entry procedures
