      POSITION SUMMARY: Provides educational technology training and support District-wide to achieve instructional technology integration. Provides training on workplace skills and other training to support all staff in being successful employees. Participates in training to develop courses for workplace enhancement and classified department certifications. Supports implementation of district goals and workplace initiatives through collaboration with District, Building level, and Department staff and through community engagement. Assists with the development of programs that enhance district culture, climate, staff support, and professionalism that are research-based, and demonstrate best practices in adult learning principles. Candidate possesses skills related to social media, videography, photography, editing, branding, and presentation skills. This position reports to the Director of Professional Learning. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES: Collaborates on the local, departmental, and organization level to implement instructional technology training; coordinates and directs instructional videos; implements training in online modules, and virtual learning. Conducts learning sessions online, in schools and departments, and in workshops and classes. Plans tiered training for induction and experienced staff. Prepares teachers to instruct students using Mimeo Boards, the Google Suite, and other new technology. Develop new instructional programs and new classes to ensure all staff are able to utilize the latest technology. Supports (through training, coaching, workshops, etc.) and informs the delivery of instruction in schools and departments to create rigorous, relevant, and engaging instructional programs. Serves on Professional Learning committees and District-level teams as requested. All other duties as assigned and required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree required. 3 years of teaching or training experience in an educational environment required; strong technology skills required. Makes recommendations or decisions which usually affect the entire department/school. Must be a self-starter and able to make decisions that are in the best interest of the District, staff and students. Requires frequent contact with stakeholders both internal and external. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with inter-organizational teams. Requires regular, frequent communication with different constituencies: external agencies, parents, community, etc. Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to build relationships with all stakeholders. Responsible for multiple functions of instructional oversight with a high-level accountability for effective implementation and results. Applies, recommends, and implements technology concepts to improve the effectiveness of instruction and pedagogy. Requires frequent travel for off-site training and school/department site visits. This position is a 225 days/8 hours/grade 24 position and pays for experience up to the midpoint of the salary range. Annual salaries will be prorated for employees not starting at the beginning of the work calendar year.
