What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor transactions to identify, mitigate, and predict risky behaviors that could lead to losses
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor fraud risk management techniques for various products and payment methods
- Evaluate products for gaps and propose risk controls to enhance user experience while enabling growth
- Scale risk processes to address a complex landscape of payment risks
- Educate Stripe users about potential risks to their businesses and how to prevent them
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong curiosity and passion for risk management with a problem-solving mindset
- Decisive with the ability to learn quickly from experiences and data-driven decisions
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL for data analysis
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively across teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Expertise in quantitative tools such as Python or R
- Experience in payments, risk, or trust & safety sectors
- Familiarity with product and machine learning teams
- Background in fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environments
