      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Independently lead cross-functional teams to oversee federal and state transit asset management and policy development
      - Research and maintain knowledge of current federal and state regulations for transit asset management
      - Provide technical assistance to rural transit agencies, tribes, and non-profit entities on asset management requirements
      - Conduct analysis of submitted plans to ensure compliance and provide feedback for continuous improvement
      - Develop guidance documents and best practices for transit asset management and preventative maintenance programs

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Experience working within state, city, or county agencies related to planning, transportation, or infrastructure development
      - Demonstrated ability to perform professional-level transportation planning work, including research, analysis, and plan development
      - Skills to support or lead planning projects that involve coordination across agencies and stakeholders
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to create accurate reports and deliver presentations
      - Advanced analytical skills to interpret data and evaluate policy impacts

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Professional experience in transportation asset management
      - General knowledge of public transportation performance, governance, and funding
      - Working knowledge of multimodal transportation networks
      - Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations related to public transportation
      - Skills to lead teams and develop techniques to improve work processes
