      Monday-Friday; 8:00-4:30

      United Ability is an organization that provides a variety of services to individuals with disabilities. We are currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Teacher/Transition Specialist in the work-based learning GROW program at community worksites by onboarding students, informing parents/caregivers of services, and job coaching students to prepare them for employment.       Collaborating with other team members, you will:

      • Performs intake on students/out of school youth and documents all required paperwork.
      • Works with the host site to set up work areas that are conducive to the participants skills and interests.
      • Works hands on with participants at the work site in a variety of job areas to teach them work skills to prepare them for competitive employment.
      • Communicates with school staff, host site staff, and ADRS staff to build rapport and to maintain positive relationships.
      • Job develops and works with employers on hiring individuals with disabilities.
      • Assists clients with job applications and works with them on the job to ensure success.
      • Documents all services provided in a timely manner and in adherence with CARF and ADRS standards.
      • Provide onsite job coaching to students during summer months

      Applicant general qualifications include:

      • High school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Valid driver’s license
      • Successful completion of motor vehicle screening
