What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry into state and federal databases for safety ratings of commercial motor carriers
- Assist carriers in correcting safety records and removing incorrect data
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement on motor carrier safety issues
- Provide accurate commercial vehicle data to command staff and law enforcement for effective deployment
- Supervise a team of four positions within the Commercial Vehicle Division
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of clerical or office experience
- Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders
- Ability to perform data entry tasks, including 10-key entries
- Experience in supervising and evaluating staff performance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Previous experience in a law enforcement or government setting
- Familiarity with commercial vehicle safety regulations and enforcement
