What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the full life cycle of multiple complex transportation projects, including scope, schedule, and budget
- Maintain project documentation in Clarity PPM database, tracking budgets, spending, risks, and schedules
- Coordinate with various city agencies, external stakeholders, and SDOT divisions to address project challenges
- Engage with SDOT teams, leadership, and community members through regular reporting and communication
- Assist in preparing and executing inter-departmental agreements and consultant contracts for project delivery
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in infrastructure project management or engineering design
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Effective written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and build relationships with stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of project management principles specifically for transportation capital projects
- Experience with grant and permit applications for capital projects
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Experience working in a multicultural environment with a diverse customer base
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
