      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Make recommendations for investment purchases, sales, and holds in various industries for the State of Michigan Retirement Systems (SMRS) pension fund
      - Manage one or more investment portfolios, including asset allocation recommendations and investment manager selection
      - Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify risk and return drivers
      - Prepare regular reports to monitor fund performance and compliance with contract terms
      - Support recommendations for underwriting assigned investments

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or real estate management/financing
      - Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Treasury Investment Analyst P11
      - Must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace for remote work
      - Ability to work onsite in Michigan on designated days
      - Must provide official college transcripts as part of the application process

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Possession of a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
      - Experience in investing in private markets and private credit strategies
      - Familiarity with negotiating terms and conditions of complex investment transactions
      - Prior experience in financial modeling and analysis
      - Knowledge of compliance and legal requirements related to investment portfolios
