We are looking for an at-home tutor for AP Physics 1. Our student is a 10th grader. At this initial point, we have in mind 2 hours per week - these may be 1 2-hour session or 2 1-hour sessions, depending on what is more effective. As the tutoring progresses, we additional time could be added.
The tutor who we are looking for is a UW student who majors in a field that requires a strong background in Physics - and is good at engaging with other students. The student is finding the subject to be a bit challenging, so he can use supplementation of the school lectures/materials, and support for quiz/exam preparation. As we get closer to May, tutoring for the AP Physics 1 exam would also be included.
We live in the west side of Madison, pretty close the Hilldale Mall. We are off the A and F bus routes.
